Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, known as EMDR, is a relatively new and clinically-proven psychotherapy approach that helps individuals get past traumatic or painful events. In EMDR, the therapist uses bilateral stimulation – the integration of both parts of the brain – in order to process past traumas.
Brave Health’s EMDR program is time-limited and consists of 10-weeks of individual 60-minute therapy sessions.
Our Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders program focuses on providing individual therapeutic support to patients who are experiencing a mood disorder during pregnancy or the following year. As part of this program, Brave Health offers individual therapy, group therapy, and psychiatry.
We are offering the following specialized groups to our perinatal population including groups for Postpartum Moms, First Time Moms, and Motherhood Groups.
DBT combines individual therapy with a skills group. DBT Skills groups are designed to help patients reduce self-destructive behaviors and learn more adaptive ways to manage painful emotions. It’s a great option for patients who have difficulty with suicidal ideation, self-harm, emotion dysregulation, and conflicted relationships.
Our 16-week DBT Skills Group runs weekly and offers patients the ability to cope more effectively with intense emotions, addictive or risky behaviors, and/or relationship struggles. It is open to adults and adolescents.
Group therapy can provide a safe space for patients to process difficult experiences or emotions, learn from others, and build resilience. Our clinician-led therapy groups are an excellent place for patients to begin their mental health care.
Topics include: Depression Support, Suicidal Ideation, Parenting Support, Grief, Healing from Domestic Abuse, Mindfulness, Coping Skills, Trauma, Chronic Illness, Anxiety, Divorce Support, and more. Groups are available for teens and adults.
