Brave Health is on a mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable care for mental health and addiction. Currently serving Florida, with more states to come, we use telehealth to make treatment available to more people, when and where they need it. We are a licensed Medicaid provider and accept most insurance, with the goal to reduce cost as a barrier for people seeking help.

Our Location

Currently serving Florida

Our headquarters are located in Miami, Florida, but via telehealth, for most of our services, we can work with patients anywhere in Florida.

Our Team

Anna Lindow

CEO & Co-Founder

Anna has had a lifelong interest in mental health. She started her career working in digital media, and went on to become General Manager at General Assembly, where she led the growth and operations of 16 locations and built a team that served over 50,000 students. She has worked with numerous socially-conscious startups as a consultant and advisor. Anna lives in Miami and has a B.A. from Columbia and is pursuing graduate education in Addiction Recovery at the University of Florida towards becoming a Certified Addiction Professional.

Jake Schwartz

Co-Founder + Chairman

Jake grew up learning about healthcare from his father, an emergency medicine specialist. Jake co-founded General Assembly, a global organization devoted to helping people learn new technology skills and pursue work they love, and remains the CEO. Now, he brings his expertise in building mission-driven, tech-enabled businesses to Brave Health. Jake lives in New York and holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA from Yale.

Wendy Danicourt, CAP, ADC, MSW

Director of Behavioral Health Services

Wendy brings 30+ years of expertise to the team. A telehealth expert, Wendy helped to create the e-therapist certification in Florida and has worked across the country on state, local, and federal innovation in telehealth. Wendy received her B.A. and Master of Social Work from Florida State University and holds a Certified Addiction Professional license and an e-Therapist certification.

Drew Lieberman, MD

Medical Director

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Lieberman brings extensive medication management expertise to his work in addiction. A frequent speaker and consulted expert on Medication Assisted Treatment, Dr. Lieberman is passionate about expanding access to MAT. Prior to working in the addiction field, Dr. Lieberman was a leader in the anesthesiology field. He completed his residency at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center and holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Don Lewis

Director of Business Development and Partnerships

Don has been working in the behavioral health industry for over 30 years, devoting his career to increasing access to care and bringing innovative solutions to the marketplace. His expertise spans the landscape of healthcare payers nationally. Don lives in Tampa, Florida and holds a B.A. from Columbia University.

Jennifer Carlo, LMHC

Clinical Outreach

Jennifer has over 20 year of experience working in behavioral health, as an educator, therapist, administrator, and community relations specialist. She has worked with and for providers and facilities, nonprofits, and health systems in Florida. As a psychotherapist, Jennifer has broad experience in substance use disorder as well as a specialization in working with infertility.

Advisory Board

Patricia Ares-Romero, MD, FASAM

Advisor

Dr. Ares-Romero is a physician leader and innovator in the behavioral health field. As the Chief Medical Officer of Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital in Miami, Dr. Ares-Romero established the first outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment clinic at the hospital as well as a long-acting injectable clinic. She is a nationally recognized speaker and researcher on opioid use disorder.

Lanhee Chen, PhD

Advisor

Lanhee is a health policy and regulatory expert, professor, and investor.  He has advised presidential candidates and state governments on healthcare policy, and is Chair of the Board of El Camino Health in California’s Silicon Valley.

Ken Goulet

Advisor

A longtime healthcare industry leader, Ken served most recently as Executive Vice President at Anthem. He now serves on the board of Quartet and as an advisor to other healthcare organizations. Ken is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Rafael Lemaitre

Advisor

Rafael has served as a healthcare policy and communications advisor for three Presidential Administrations, most recently as a senior official for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.
