Brave Health is on a mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable care for mental health and addiction. Currently serving Florida, with more states to come, we use telehealth to make treatment available to more people, when and where they need it. We are a licensed Medicaid provider and accept most insurance, with the goal of reducing cost as a barrier for people seeking help.

Anna Lindow

CEO & Co-Founder

Anna has had a lifelong passion for mental health, and she founded Brave Health to give others access to the types of services that have helped her since adolescence. Prior to Brave Health, she was an operations executive at General Assembly, a global organization that helps adults gain new technology skills. There, she led a team that quintupled the business in 3 years, and has since grown it to 30 locations serving over 70,000 students. She has worked with numerous socially-conscious startups as a consultant and advisor. Anna lives in Florida and has a B.A. from Columbia and a graduate certificate in Addiction Recovery from the University of Florida.

Jake Schwartz

Co-Founder + Chairman

Jake grew up learning about healthcare from his father, an emergency medicine specialist. Jake co-founded General Assembly, a global organization devoted to helping people learn new technology skills and pursue work they love, and remains the CEO. Now, he brings his expertise in building mission-driven, tech-enabled businesses to Brave Health. Jake lives in New York and holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA from Yale.

Head of Growth

Don has been working in the behavioral health industry for over 30 years, devoting his career to increasing access to care and bringing innovative solutions to the marketplace. His expertise spans the landscape of healthcare payers nationally. Don lives in Tampa, Florida and holds a B.A. from Columbia University.

Aleksandr Zverinskiy, MD, MHA

Medical Director

Dr. Aleksandr Zverinskiy is a specialist in psychiatry, addiction, and psychosomatic medicine. He treats a wide variety of disorders, including mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. He prioritizes the well-being of each of his patients by providing individualized treatment based on each person’s history and needs. Dr. Zverinskiy is triple board certified, with certifications in: Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

Head of People

Jill joined Brave Health as Head of People, bringing over two decades of growth company experience to our Human Resources/Talent operations. Jill has joined a large number of very successful startups companies early in their lifecycle, and helped them navigate major growth while maintaining a positive culture. Jill is passionate about access for all to wellbeing and quality of life.

Alexis Mendel

Talent Acquisition Manager

Lexi brings a love of talent acquisition and people operations to Brave Health. Her career has focused heavily on physician and provider recruitment, specifically in single-specialty and private practice settings. Lexi lives in Miami, Florida and received her B.S. from Northwestern University. She is a certified Fellow of the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR).

Paul Carey

Community Liaison

Paul Carey helps to build impactful relationships among health care providers and community partners in the Central Florida area. Paul’s hope is to form a strong community partnership in order to improve access to mental health and behavioral health services. Paul knows firsthand the impairment and distress addiction can cause on ones’ well-being. Paul grew up in the foster care system in the late 1980’s due to his mother and father’s personal battle with addiction. He considers himself a survivor and advocate after battling his own traumas throughout his childhood. Paul holds a BBA in marketing from The University of Incarnate Word for a BBA in marketing.

Beth Bierbower is a strategic healthcare leader with more than thirty years of proven executive level experience in the health insurance industry. Previously Beth held the position of Chief Operating Officer of Humana’s Specialty Benefits division and was an Enterprise Vice President leading Humana’s Product Development and Innovation teams. Beth serves on the Boards of Iora Health and the American Telemedicine Association where she is a member of the Education and Finance Committees.

Board Member

Juan has more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry. He spent 21 years with HCA and its predecessor companies, most recently as Vice President of Employer & Payer Engagement. Juan is currently the acting CEO of the Vice Chairman of myNEXUS, having previously served the company in a strategic advisor role since its inception.
